SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's and women's swim teams are set to head to Garland for the 2023 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships, which will be held from Wednesday, February 8 through Saturday, February 11 at the Garland ISD Natatorium.

The meet kicks off on Wednesday evening at 5:00 p.m. with the 200 and 500 medley relay events before continuing on Thursday and Friday evenings, and culminates with several individual  events and one final relay on Saturday. Among the events taking place on Saturday evening is the women's 1650 freestyle, with 'Roo senior Liberty Chanin looking to defend her championship. Sammi Thiele, who had multiple All-SCAC finishes last season and has already qualified for an NCAA Championship B-Cut this season, will also be looking to earn a guaranteed spot in the national meet, while program records look likely to fall on both the men's and women's side.
