The goal of the Athletic Training Department is to provide the student-athletes with the best possible environment for optimal health care. Our primary focus is to provide the student-athletes with a health care system that is proactive in the way we approach the needs of the student-athlete. Should an injury or illness occur, it is our mission to recognize and refer the student-athlete to the appropriate medical care returning them to competition as quickly and safely as possible. The Athletic Training Room will serve as a medical facility to provide medical services (education, injury/illness prevention, evaluation, management, rehabilitation, immediate or emergent care, and return-to-play) to all Austin College student-athletes.

Our philosophy is the needs of the student-athlete will always be the first consideration for all members of the athletic training staff. The Austin College athletic training staff strives to be a program of excellence in sports medicine.
