ABILENE, Texas - The Austin College women's basketball team got out to a slow start and was never quite able to recover against McMurry University on Saturday, falling 77-59 to bring the team's overall record to 0-4 on the year.

The 'Roos committed 24 turnovers in the game and McMurry was able to take advantage, attempting 20 more field goal attempts and scoring 19 points off of turnovers in the game. Austin College went down 20-10 in the opening quarter, and after battling back with a big second frame to cut it to 33-30 at halftime, the War Hawks dominated the third period to make it 58-44 heading into the final frame.

McMurry had a slight edge in rebounding in the game at 37-33, but only four of Austin College's rebounds were on the offensive glass, compared to 12 offensive boards for the War Hawks.
