'Roos Run Well at SCAC Championships

SEGUIN, Texas - Hannah Richards became the first Austin College distance track runner to earn All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference honors in program history, and the 'Roos ran well in multiple events at the 2018 SCAC Championships hosted by Texas Lutheran.

Richards set a new program record in the 1500-meter event, coming in with a time of 4:52.06 to take third place. As one of the top three finishers in the race, she earned All-Conference honors. Alex Quinn and Eden Llamas each had outstanding performances in the 5000-meter event, with Quinn placing fifth with a time of 19:47.70, setting a new personal record. Llamas was right behind her in sixth place, finishing with her own personal best time of 20:04. 

Both runners also eclipsed the old school record in the 10000-meter race, with Quinn finishing sixth with a time of 42:08.31 and Llamas coming in seventh with a time of 42:33.65. 

On the men's side, Chris Biffar set a new program record with a time of 2:06.79 to place 11th in the 800-meter race, and also added a ninth place finish in the 1500-meter event. In that race, Biffar came in with a time of 4:18.38, setting his second school record of the meet.
