Cross Country Finishes 22nd at South/Southeast Regional

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Austin College men's cross country team performed well at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional Championship on Saturday, finishing 22nd out of 36 competing teams at the event. The 'Roos were also the fourth highest placing Texas team, finishing ahead of Southwestern, McMurry, and Concordia-Texas.

RJ Navarro paced the 'Roos with a 75th place finish out of more than 250 runners racing on Saturday morning. Navarro came in with a time of 27:00.1, while Johnny Biffar finished 108th with a time of 27:31.3 and Charlie McIntyre crossed the finish line with a time of 27:39.5, good for 117th place. Chris Biffar added a 120th place finish with a time of 27:42.8, and Andrew Thomas rounded out the 'Roo scoring with a time of 27:57.4, placing him 134th at the event. 

Navarro's finish ranked him third among all Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference runners competing at the meet, and Johnny Biffar had the eighth best finish among SCAC competitors.
