Men's Cross Country Wins Again, Women Finish Strong at ETBU

MARSHALL, Texas - The Austin College men's cross country team won its third straight meet and the women placed two runners in the top 10 as the 'Roos competed at the East Texas Baptist Invitational on Friday evening.

The men were once again led by first place finisher RJ Navarro, who set a new personal record in the 8k with a time of 26:53.3, topping his previous best time by over a minute and establishing a new program record. Johnny Biffar finished fourth with a time of 27:25.50, Chris Biffar was eighth with a time of 28:03.70, and Andrew Thomas also had a top 10 finish with a time of 28:13.40, good for ninth. Charlie McIntyre came in 13th in the meet, finishing with a time of 28:32.10.

On the women's side, Danielle Lozano set a new personal record in the 6k on her way to a sixth place finish. Lozano came in with a time of 26:06.10, and was followed up by Madison Barnum in ninth place with a time of 26:20. Tori Dodd added a 38th place finish with a time of 33:37.50, and Becca Tobias rounded out the Austin College finishers with a time of 40:21.40 to place 45th.
