Eight From Men's Water Polo Earn All-MPSF

SHERMAN, Texas - Eight members of the Austin College men's water polo team have been named All-MPSF East Division for their outstanding play during the 2023 campaign, led by first team All-MPSF honorees Aidan Wade, Jack Stack, and Dylan McArthur.

Along with Wade, Stack, and McArthur, Nik Koelzer was named second team All-MPSF along with Sebastian Scheier and Alan Rosenberg, while Andrew Galt and Anthony Sury each earned honorable mention recognition. This is the second time McArthur and Rosenberg have been named All-MPSF.

Wade, a sophomore attacker from Flower Mound, was a first team pick and was among the top goal scorers for the 'Roos this season, finding the back of the cage 17 times including three each against Washington & Jefferson and Connecticut College.

Stack was amother of the team's top goal scorers on his way to earning first team recognition, with the sophomore attacker from Concord, Calif., tallying 19 times this season while also earning MPSF Player of the Week honors earlier this season.

McArthur, a senior from Missouri City, earned first team honors after he paced Austin College with 27 goals this season and like Stack, earned MPSF Player of the Week recognition this season, and finished the year strong with five goals against Washington & Jefferson and four more against Connecticut College.

Koelzer, a senior attacker from Richmond, was a second team All-MPSF pick after finishing the year among the team's leaders in multiple statistical categories, including being one of the top defensive presences on the team and consistently finding himself in the assists column, in addition to finding the cage four times himself.

Scheier, a freshman center from La Palma, Calif., earned MPSF Newcomer of the Week honors earlier this year and finished the regular season with 13 goals, including three against Biola and then again against Penn State Behrend, on his way to earning second team honors.

Rosenberg, a senior goalkeeper from Naperville, Ill., was named second team All-MPSF after putting together an outstanding year in the cage, finishing with double-digit saves in nearly every game this year while also consistently coming away with steals throughout the year.

Galt, a junior defender from Southlake, earned honorable mention recognition thanks largely to his versatility and ability to impact the game in a number of different ways, and like Koelzer was among the team's top defenders and was among the team leaders in steals and assists in addition to tallying four times.

Sury, a freshman attacker from Lake Jackson, finished the regular season ranked second on the team with 26 goals on his way to earning honorable mention All-MPSF status. He was an MPSF Newcomer of the Week early in the year, and scored in almost every game this season with a high of four against Washington & Jefferson.
