13 From Men's Water Polo Earn MPSF Academic Honors

WOODLAND, Calif. – Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Executive Director Al Beaird has announced the MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athletes for the 2020 men's water polo season. The following student- athletes have been nominated for this award by their institutions based on the following criteria:

  1. 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average.
  2. Student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically.
  3. Student-athlete must have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is received.

Among those honored were 13 members of the Austin College men's water polo team, including Kyle Brown, a junior from Lake Jackson; Taiton Fox, a junior from Bend, Ore.; Cade and Zachary Griffith, sophomores from Oak Brook, Ill.; Will Koelzer, a junior from Richmond; Dylan Laventure, a sophomore from Valley Center, Calif.; James Mirt, a sophomore from San Mateo, Calif.; Tanner O'Dwyer, a junior from Lantana; Max Wade, a sophomore from Flower Mound; Connor Watson, a junior from League City; and Andrew Pope, Brett Skinner, and Sam Skinner, all juniors from Flower Mound.
