It's a busy week for Austin College athletics, as all four spring sports programs will be in action while the winter season officially wraps up with Sammi Thiele's trip to the NCAA Division III National Championship Meet.

Things get started on Wednesday evening as Thiele heads to Greensboro, N.C., to compete at the national championships, where she'll participate in the 200 individual medley before also competing in the 100 and 200 backstroke events on Friday and Saturday. 

The 'Roo women's water polo team is headed to Minnesota this weekend, where they'll open up competition against Washington & Jefferson on Friday at 8:00 p.m., before taking on Augustana and Carthage on Saturday at 12:20 p.m. and 3:40 p.m., respectively. The 'Roos will wrap up the weekend on Sunday, taking on Macalester at 8:00 a.m.

The men's and women's tennis teams will be home on Friday evening, as the 'Roos host Schreiner University at 5:30 p.m., before heading to Arkansas on Saturday to play at the University of the Ozarks. Those matches will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Austin College baseball is headed to Shreveport this weekend for some SCAC competition, taking on Centenary College in a three-game series. The 'Roos will open with a doubleheader beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, wrapping up the weekend with a single game at noon on Sunday.

Finally, the 'Roo softball team will be home this weekend, as they also take on Centenary in a SCAC series. Game one is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at Sherman High School, and the 'Roos and Ladies will take to the field for a doubleheader beginning at noon on Sunday.
