Riley Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo baseball player RayShawn Riley.

Riley, a freshman outfielder from Wylie, had a big first week in his collegiate career, batting .500 while driving in four runs in a three-game series at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, collecting at least one hit in all three games and going 3-for-4 with a run scored in game two of the weekend. Riley then went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in game one of Austin College's doubleheader at Arlington Baptist University on Tuesday, helping the 'Roos to a 7-4 win, the team's first victory of the young 2024 campaign. For the year, he's batting .474 with five RBI and four runs scored.

Modern Woodmen of America is proud to recognize and support the ongoing achievements of Austin College student-athletes. Their North Texas Region understands that the pursuit of excellence on and off the field creates a foundation for continued excellence after graduation.
