SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's water polo player Bianca Gallegos.

Gallegos, a sophomore from Albuquerque, N.M., had a big weekend in her debut with Austin College as the 'Roos competed at the Bruno Classic, hosted by Brown and Harvard. Gallegos tallied 11 goals in four games to pace the 'Roos offensively, while also adding three assists and five drawn ejections. She opened the weekend with four goals against Salem University, and tallied twice against Brown. Gallegos added four more goals against Siena, and wrapped up the weekend with one more score against La Salle.
