Moothart Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's basketball player Grace Moothart.

Moothart, a sophomore guard from Melissa, entered the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference record book in a crucial win over Schreiner on Saturday when she knocked down eight three pointers, tying her for the fifth most in a single game in league history. Moothart finished with a career-high 24 points, hitting 8-of-16 from long range as the 'Roos defeated the Mountaineers 73-68. She finished the weekend averaging 15.0 points-per-game, and hit 41.7% from three in two games. She currently ranks fouth in the SCAC in three point percentage and fifth in made threes-per-game.
