Nagy Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College Athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo softball player Caitlin Nagy.

Nagy, a freshman utility player from Aledo, led Austin College at the plate in the team's 22 games this spring. Nagy batted .353 while playing in 21 of the team's 22 games, adding an on-base percentage of .400 and a .529 slugging percentage. Playing various positions in her first year at Austin College, Nagy also led the team with 18 hits, including seven doubles and a triple. She also drove in four runs and scored nine more, in addition to stealing three bases. Nagy had six multi-hit games on the year, including a pair of games in which she notched a pair of doubles.

Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial is proud to recognize and support the ongoing achievements of Austin College student-athletes. Their North Texas Region understands that the pursuit of excellence on and off the field creates a foundation for continued excellence after graduation.
