Easley Named CWPA Defensive Player of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College women's water polo player Ashley Easley has been named the CWPA Division III Defensive Player of the Week after her outstanding play in two games against Occidental and Whittier last weekend, the organization has announced.

Easley, a sophomore goalie from San Antonio, was strong in goal in Austin College's trip to California, making 19 blocks with five steals as the 'Roos had a narrow defeat against Occidental before rebounding with a comeback victory over Whittier. In the victory over Whittier, Easley came up huge with 11 blocks in the team's 12-11 last-second victory.
