SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College women's water polo team fell in each of its final two spring break games in California on Saturday, dropping a 16-7 decision to No. 5 Redlands and a 13-10 game to No. 6 Chapman. The 'Roos are now 3-7 overall on the year.

In the team's first game on Saturday, Redlands jumped out to a 6-1 lead after the first quarter before outscoring the Bulldogs 4-1 in the second to head into halftime trailing 7-5. However, Redlands used a big third quarter to put the game out of reach, tallying seven goals to go on top 14-6 heading into the final quarter. Presley Woods and Lexi Wong each scored three goals and Brooke Le added one, while Valery Piachonkina made even saves in goal for the 'Roos.

Against Chapman, the 'Roos fell behind 2-0 after the first quarter and 6-1 at halftime, rallying back with five goals in the third to cut it to a 9-6 game. Austin College would try mount a fourth quarter comeback, cutting the deficit to 11-10 on a goal by Wong with just over three minutes to play, but Chapman tallied twice down the stretch to seal the game. Wong and Woods again scored three goals apiece, and Madison Taylor added two. Le and Shannon Berry each tallied a goal, and Piachonkina made six saves.
