MARSHALL, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team battled against No. 10-ranked East Texas Baptist in a non-conference road match on Tuesday, but the 'Roos came up short in a 3-1 defeat, bringing them to 18-12 overall on the year.

The Tigers took the first set 25-22, but Austin College responded with a 25-23 second set win. The two teams went back and forth in the third set, with ETBU ultimately earning a 31-29 win to go on top 2-1, and the Tigers clinched the match with a 25-11 fourth set victory. TJ Folse had a big match for Austin College with 17 kills and a .286 hitting percentage, and tied Laynie Kovacs for the team lead with 24 digs. Rachel Sadler had 12 kills, and Jazmyn Kizziar added eight kills and seven total blocks.
Mattie Duncan chipped in seven kills and eight total blocks, and Madison Manning had a team-best 22 assists to go with eight digs. Brianne Tseng chipped in 18 assists and seven digs, and Tatum Torres notched double figures with 12 digs in the loss.
