Kovacs, a sophomore libero from McKinney, led the 'Roos to a 2-0 weekend with big home wins over conference foes St. Thomas and Colorado College. Kovacs averaged 6.67 digs-per-set after a pair of three-set sweeps, charting 23 digs against UST before wrapping up the weekend with 17 against the Tigers. She also added nine service aces, including seven against Colorado College, and had zero reception errors in 22 attempts with five assists.
Kovacs and the 'Roos are 5-0 in SCAC competition after their two big wins and have a seven match winning streak, and now hold sole possession of first place in the SCAC Blue Division.
