'Roos Cruise to Road Win at Centenary

SHREVEPORT, La. - The Austin College volleyball team improved to 3-0 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play and 10-6 overall with a three-set sweep at Centenary on Saturday. The 'Roos have now won five straight matches and seven of their last eight.
The 'Roos came out scorching hot in the first set, hitting .579 as a team on their way to a 25-4 win to set the tone early. Austin College then wrapped up the match with wins of 25-14 and 25-18 in the next two sets to complete the sweep. The 'Roos ended up hitting .400 as a team in the match, with Rachel Sadler's 11 kills pacing the team offensively. Sadler also hit .579 in the match.
TJ Folse added 10 kills and nine digs, and Victoria Larson and Samantha Graham each had six kills, with both players boasting a hitting percentage of better than .600 in the victory. Brianne Tseng led the 'Roos with 16 assists and added seven digs, and Madison Manning chipped in 11 assists. Laynie Kovacs had 22 digs to lead Austin College defensively.
