'Roo Volleyball Closes Regular Season with Pair of Wins

IRVING, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team finished the regular season strong, topping both Centenary and the University of Dallas on Saturday afternoon. The 'Roos head into the SCAC Tournament with an overall record of 16-16 and a conference mark of 8-8.

The 'Roos topped Centenary by scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-23 while hitting .258 as a team in the match. Riley Abernethy had a big match for Austin College with 11 kills and 11 digs, adding four block assists in the win. Olivia Linton had seven kills, and Brianna Barch had six kills and four block assists. Brianne Tseng paced the 'Roos with 20 assists and Madison Manning added 16, while Tatum Torres had a team-best 16 digs in the victory.

Against Dallas, Austin College dropped the opening set 25-19 but came back with three straight wins, topping the Crusaders by scores of 25-20, 25-20, and 25-16. Victoria Smith had a team-best 11 kills for Austin College, and Abernethy added eight kills, 18 digs, and six block assists. Jaiden Tocquigny, TJ Folse, and Linton each had seven kills, and Cheyenne Dantonio had seven block assists for Austin College. Tseng once again led the 'Roos with 19 assists, and Manning had 17 assists and 10 digs. Chloe Miller led the 'Roos with 24 digs in the victory.
