Volleyball Drops Pair of SCAC Matches

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Austin College fell in a pair of SCAC matches on Friday, dropping matches 3-0 to Trinity University and Colorado College. The 'Roos are now 12-16 overall and 5-8 in conference play.

Against host school Trinity, the 'Roos fell by scores of 25-15, 25-9, and 25-17 as the Tigers hit .337 as a team compared to just .047 for the 'Roos. TJ Folse had seven kills to lead Austin College, and Mattie Duncan added six with a .500 attacking percentage. Selah Coleman chipped in four kills in the loss. Brianne Tseng had 10 assists and seven digs, and Madison Manning matched Tatum Torres for the team lead with 10 digs. Manning added nine assists in the match. 

The 'Roos dropped their match against Colorado College by scores of 26-24, 25-17, 25-18, after having previously topped the Tigers earlier this season. 

Olivia Linton had seven kills to lead Austin College, and Folse and Riley Abernethy each had six. Linton added 13 digs, and Abernethy had 10, while Torres chipped in 11 digs in defeat. Tseng had a team-best 12 assists, while Manning had nine assists and six digs in the loss. Austin College will wrap up the weekend on Saturday with a match against Schreiner.
