UTD Tops Austin College Volleyball

RICHARDSON, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team fell in four sets at the University of Texas-Dallas on Tuesday evening, bringing Austin College's overall record to 11-11 on the year.

After falling 25-19 in the opening set, the 'Roos bounced back and won set two by a score of 25-20. However, the Comets would win the next two by scores of 25-23, 25-14 to down the 'Roos 3-1 in the match. Victoria Smith had 13 kills with a .286 hitting percentage to pace Austin College offensively, and Olivia Linton, Riley Abernethy, and Mattie Duncan each added six kills in the match. Abernethy added eight digs and five block assists, and Duncan had eight block assists.

Brianne Tseng had 18 assists to lead the 'Roos, and Tatum Torres had a team-best 15 digs. Alyssa Holloway added 11 digs, and Madison Manning chipped in 10 digs and seven assists. Torres also finished the match with six assists.
