'Roos Volleyball Tops St. Thomas

GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team wrapped up its weekend at Southwestern with a 3-1 victory over the University of St. Thomas on Sunday, as the 'Roos dropped the opening set before taking the next three to clinch the win.

After falling 25-22 in the first set, the 'Roos took the next three by scores of 25-19, 25-23, 28-26 to bring their conference record to 4-3 this season. Olivia Linton had a team-best 14 kills and Riley Abernethy added 11 kills and 14 digs in the victory. Cheyenne Dantonio and Mattie Duncan each chipped in eight kills, and Victoria Smith had seven. Duncan also had eight block assists in the match.

Tatum Torres paced the 'Roos with 16 digs, while Alyssa Holloway and Madison Manning each had 10. Manning also had 20 assists, and Brianne Tseng led the 'Roos in that category with 23.
