'Roo Volleyball Falls in SCAC Quarterfinals

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team saw its season come to a close on Friday as the 'Roos fell 3-0 to No. 4-seed Texas Lutheran in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference quarterfinals. The 'Roos end the year with a record of 20-11.

Austin College jumped out to an early lead, going ahead 6-2 in the first set and eventually leading 15-9, but the Bulldogs rallied back to hand the 'Roos a 23-25 first set defeat. Texas Lutheran firmly took the momentum from that point forward, cruising to 13-25 wins in each of the next two sets to end Austin College's season.

Riley Abernethy had eight kills and 11 digs to lead the 'Roos, while Olivia Linton chipped in six kills and five digs. TJ Folse added five kills for Austin College, as the 'Roos hit just .095 as a team in the match. Brooklyn Talley had 16 assists for Austin College, and Mari Prazak had a team-best 15 digs.
