'Roos Run Win Streak to Six

IRVING, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team kept its winning ways going on Saturday, topping Centenary College and the University of Dallas each by scores of 3-1 to run their winning streak to six matches and improve to 11-1 overall on the year. The 'Roos are also now 2-0 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Against Centenary, the 'Roos took the first two sets by scores of 25-22 and 25-18, before the Ladies took the third set 25-15. However, Austin College came back in dominant fashion in the fourth set, winning 25-10 to wrap up the match. Victoria Smith had 12 kills to lead the way for Austin College, and Riley Abernethy added 10 kills and 15 digs. She also had six block assists in the victory. Olivia Linton added eight kills, and Brooklyn Talley had 22 assists and 10 digs. Mari Prazak led the 'Roos with 17 digs.

Austin College opened up the day against host school Dallas, falling 25-16 in the opening set before rolling off three straight wins by scores of 26-24, 25-18, and 25-19. Abernethy paced Austin College with 15 kills and also added 20 digs, and Smith had 12 kills in the victory. Talley had 19 assists and eight digs, and also added three service aces. Prazak had 22 digs in the win, while Brianne Tseng had 15 assists and nine digs.
