'Roo Volleyball Falls to UT-Dallas

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team dropped a non-conference match to the University of Texas-Dallas in three sets on Tuesday night, falling by scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-17 to the Comets. The 'Roos are now 13-16 overall on the year.

The 'Roos struggled with attacking errors throughout the match, with 21 total for the three sets and a team hitting percentage of .059. The Comets, meanwhile, boasted a .359 hitting percentage with only four attacking errors in the match. Christine Royalty led Austin College with nine kills, while Shelbi Cook and Caitlin Mahoney had four apiece. Brooklyn Talley paced the 'Roos with 20 assists and added 11 digs, and Mari Prazak had 11 digs in defeat. 

Austin College hosts all nine other members of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference this weekend in Hughey Gym and the Sid Richardson Center, with the 'Roos first taking the court on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
