Volleyball Tops Schreiner, Falls to Southwestern

The Austin College volleyball team took one of two matches on Saturday at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference crossover hosted by Southwestern University. The 'Roos are now 12-9 overall and 3-2 in SCAC play for the year.
The 'Roos opened the weekend with a 3-0 loss to Southwestern, falling 20-25, 10-25, 22-25 to the Pirates. Shelby Eaves had 10 kills and 17 digs to lead the 'Roos, and Kelsey Klingler had 23 assists in the loss.
Against Schreiner, the 'Roos won 14-25, 25-20, 19-25, 25-21, 15-12 with Eaves leading the way again with 21 kills and 22 digs. Madison Lee added nine kills, and Klingler had 35 assists and 21 digs. Rachel Fusselman led the 'Roos with 28 digs in the victory.
The 'Roos will wrap up the weekend with matches against Texas Lutheran and Trinity on Sunday.
