SHERMAN, Texas - Due to expected inclement weather across Texas and Louisiana this weekend, multiple changes have been made to this weekend's Austin College softball, baseball, and tennis contests.
The Austin College softball team has seen its road games at Centenary College altered, as the series was originally scheduled to include a doubleheader at noon on Saturday followed by a single game on Sunday at noon. However, with heavy rain expected, the 'Roos and Ladies will now play a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, and attempt to complete the series on Sunday with game time set for 3:00 p.m.
The 'Roo baseball team's games in Abilene have also been impacted, with Friday evening's game moved up two hours from its original 7:00 p.m. start time to 5:00 p.m. in an effort to beat the weather. As of right now, Saturday's doubleheader is still set to be played beginning at 1:00 p.m., but that twinbill could potentially be moved to Sunday depending on the impact of the expected inclement weather.
The men's and women's tennis teams have also seen changes to their weekend schedule, with Friday's road matches at Schreiner moved up half an hour from 5:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., while Sunday's matches at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio have been canceled.
