SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's and women's tennis teams each fell to visiting St. Thomas on Saturday, with the men dropping a 6-3 decision while the women fell 6-1.

Gigi Francis and Kylie Imperial teamed to pick up a 9-7 victory playing flight one doubles for the Austin College women, but Tara Tran and Sierra Thomas were topped 8-0 playing on line two. In singles competition, Francis dropped a 5-7, 0-6 match at line one, while Imperial was bested in three sets by scores of 7-6, 4-6, 2-10. Bailey Standokes dropped a 2-6, 0-6 match on line three, and Tran fell 1-6, 0-6 in flight four singles. Thomas was topped 4-6, 2-6 in line five singles to make it a 6-1 final match score in favor of the Celts.

On the men's side, Luke Nelson and Tate Nelson dropped an 8-4 flight one doubles match, while Trey Salyer and Will Dixon fell 8-5 at line two. Yudai Abe and AJ Wueste picked up an 8-2 victory for the 'Roos playing on line three.

Henley fell 1-6, 0-6 on line one in singles play, and Nelson battled but fell 5-7, 2-7 on line two. Salyer was topped 4-6, 4-6 on line three, while Dixon, the team's lone senior, won 7-6, 6-4 in line four competition as he celebrated Senior Day. Abe fell 3-6, 2-6 on line five, and Wueste dropped a 0-6, 0-6 match on line six.
