LONGVIEW, Texas - The Austin College women's tennis team cruised to an 8-1 victory over LeTourneau in a non-conference road match on Saturday, bringing the team's record to 3-4 overall this season.

The 'Roos won two of three doubles matches and swept singles action on Saturday, with Gigi Francis and Phoebe Shapard winning 8-2 at number one doubles and Madelin Hiler and Sierra Thomas getting an 8-4 win at line three. Maya Leisey and Megan Morris fell 8-2 on line two doubles.

Francis battled to a hardfought win at number one singles, winning 5-7, 6-3, 10-3, and Shapard earning a 6-0, 6-0 win at number two. Hiler and Leisey each won their matches 6-4, 6-1 at numbers three and four, respectively, and Morris picked up a 6-4, 6-4 victory at flight five. Austin College wrapped up the singles sweep at number six, with Thomas picking up a 7-5, 6-0 victory.
