DENISON, Tex. - The Women's Tennis Team of Austin College defeated the McMurry Warhawks in a dual match at the Smith Tennis Center in Denison, TX.  The victory over McMurry is the first of the Coach Ryan Dodd tenure, and moves the Kangaroos to 6-3 (1-0 SCAC) on the year.

Melody Duong and Diana Carvajalino dispatched of their Line 1 opponents 8-1, and Georgia Moore/Katie Seibert sealed the lead at the turn with an 8-2 victory at Line 3.

From there, AC won 3 of the first 4 singles courts at Lines 2, 3, and 4.  Anna Sergiovanni was dominant in her 6-1, 6-2 Line 3 victory, while Chandler Morris clinched the victory at Line 4, 6-2, 6-4.

Austin College hits the courts again in two weeks when they travel to Georgetown to face the #38 Southwestern Pirates on Friday, 4/5 at 5:00PM.
