SHREVEPORT, La. - The Kangaroo Women's Tennis Team collected its first victory over a SCAC opponent with today's 9-0 victory over Centenary College.
Nine 'Roos contributed at least 1 point for the 'Roos triumph on Saturday morning, with several Women's Players earning their first career victories on the singles and doubles courts.
AC dropped only 1 game at the conclusion of doubles play, winning 8-1 with Weber/Ortiz at Line 1 and 8-0 at Lines 2 & 3 from Seibert/Sergiovanni and Lide/Green. This would be the first doubles victory of Spring 2017 for both Line 1 and Line 2 Double tandems.
Anna Sergiovanni and Katie Seibert would also earn their first SCAC Singles victories of their careers with 6-0, 6-0 scores. Magan Green and Kate Willis collected their first singles victories of their senior seasons, while Brenna McCown and Shelby Bagby earned their first dual match victories of their careers.
Austin College returns to the courts later this afternoon against the Tigers of East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, TX at 2:00pm.
