Women's Tennis Splits with Houston CC and Mississippi College

The Austin College women's tennis team split its weekend matches against Houston Community College and Mississippi College, topping HCC 8-1 before falling 6-3 to Mississippi College.

Against HCC, the 'Roos got an 8-2 victory by Lizzie Flint and Sophie McDonald at number one doubles and an 8-1 win by Meghan White and Ashley Hellman at flight two. The 'Roos also took a victory by default at flight three.

The 'Roos also got wins from McDonald, White, and Hellman at numbers two through four singles on their way to the victory.

Against Mississippi College, White and Hellman picked up an 8-4 victory at flight two doubles, while each also won their singles matches. White won 6-2, 6-4 at number three while Hellman was victoriorous at number four, winning 6-3, 6-2. Flint and McDonald dropped hard fought matches, with Flint falling 2-6, 6-4, (10-12) at number one while McDonald fell 5-7, 4-6 at flight two.
