"We are excited to welcome Lauren back to Austin College," said Norman. "Her understanding of Austin College and her experience as a Division III student-athlete make her an outstanding fit for our program and our athletics department. Lauren's passion and respect for the 'Roo swim program and for the sport of swimming will help her build on a strong foundation and lead the Austin College swim teams to further success."
Olivier excelled both in the pool and the classroom as a dual-sport athlete during her time at Austin College. Her name appears in the 'Roo swimming record books three times, being part of record-setting teams in the 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay, and 400 medley relay. She was also a member of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll, as well as being named an All-American as a member of the 'Roo women's water polo team following her senior campaign.
"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the Austin College Swim program," said Olivier. "As a former swimmer of Dan Snow, this program holds a special place in my heart. Honoring its proud history, I look forward to building on traditions and helping our student-athletes excel in all aspects. Returning to my alma mater is incredibly meaningful, and I deeply appreciate the encouragement and support from everyone involved. Go 'Roos!"
