Thiele Named SCAC Swimmer of the Week

SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College women's swimmer Sammi Thiele has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season, the league office has announced.

Thiele, a senior from Keller, celebrated her last home meet with four very solid swims against four other squads at the Austin College Invitational, including NCAA Division II competitor UT-Permian Basin as well as SCAC foes Centenary, St. Thomas, and McMurry. Thiele swam a 1:08.33 in the breaststroke leg of the 400 medley relay, and posted first place individual finishes in the 100 back (59.77), 200 back (2:10.39), and 200 IM (2:16.03).
