Women's Swimming & Diving Opens With Solid Performance vs. McMurry
Warhawks win the women's dual 156-109, but 'Roos win the meet 272-263
ABILENE, Tex. - Several Kangaroo Women's Swimmers and Divers put up impressive results in a dual meet vs. the McMurry University Warhawks this Friday.
Margaux McCartney had 2 first-place finishes in the 1-meter and 3-meter Diving competitions. Lauren Wheeler opened her senior year with a victory in the 50-meter Freestyle with a time of 26.18 seconds.
Encouraging is the the performance of a "New 'Roo," Bailey Clark, who emerged with a strong first meet posting second place finishes in the 200-meter Individual Medley and 100-meter Backstroke.
While the 'Roos would fall 116-154 in the women's dual to begin the season, the future looks bright for Austin College as the Men's & Women's Teams combined for a 272-263 victory over host McMurry.
AC returns home on November 7th to host Southwestern University in their second dual of the season. The meet is set to begin at 1:00 PM.
