
Four From Women's Soccer Earn CSC Academic All-District
SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College women's soccer players Kenedie Lane, Emeri Watson, Miranda Countryman, and Emma Boehmke have been selected as Academic All-District picks for their outstanding performances both athletically and academically. This is the second year in a row that Lane and Watson have earned this recognition.

The 2024 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Lane, a senior goalkeeper from Frisco, was a second team All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference selection after ranking in the top five in the SCAC in goals-against-average, saves, save percentage, and goals allowed, and earned her CSC Academic All-District recognition with a grade-point-average of 3.93 as a biology major with molecular emphasis.
Watson, a junior midfielder from Paris, started 17 of the team's 18 games this season and finished tied for third on the team with six total points, scoring two goals and adding a pair of assists. She was named CSC Academic All-District with a 3.91 grade-point-average as a business finance major.
Countryman, a sophomore forward from Rockwall, appeared in all 18 games and made four starts, scoring one goal during her second season in Sherman. She was named CSC Academic All-District thanks to a 3.83 grade-point-average with a major in biology.
Boehmke, a sophomore midfielder from Texarkana, started 12 of the 17 games in which she appeared this season, scoring twice and adding two goals to tie for third on the team with six total points, and earned her CSC Academic All-District honors as a dual major in psychology and education with a 3.6 grade-point-average.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
