
Four From Women's Soccer Earn All-SCAC
HOUSTON, Texas - Austin College women's soccer players Kenedie Lane, Ranee LeVasseur, Bailey McCreary, and Jetta Broquard have each been named All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference performers for their outstanding 2024 seasons, the league office has announced.
HOUSTON, Texas - Austin College women's soccer players Kenedie Lane, Ranee LeVasseur, Bailey McCreary, and Jetta Broquard have each been named All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference performers for their outstanding 2024 seasons, the league office has announced.
Lane, a senior goalkeeper from Frisco, was a second team All-SCAC selection following a year in which she ranked in the top five in the league in goals allowed, goals-against-average, save percentage, and total saves. Lane had a 0.76 goals-against-average after giving up just 11 tallies this season, boasting a .836 save percentage with 56 total saves on the year.
LeVasseur, a senior defender from Richards, was an honorable mention All-Conference pick after helping the 'Roos build one of the strongest defenses in the conference, as the 'Roos allowed just 13 goals in 20 games this season. LeVasseur started 13 of the 17 games in which she appeared as one of the anchors for the Austin College defense.
McCreary, a freshman defender from Little Elm, was another honorable mention All-SCAC selection, joining Levasseur as the other anchor of Austin College's stellar defensive unit. McCreary earned SCAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades once this season, and ended the year with a game-winning goal against Lyon College.
Broquard, a freshman forward from Siloam Springs, Ark., was tied for the SCAC lead among freshman forwards with five goals, and led all SCAC freshmen forwards with four goals, for a total of 14 points. Broquard's five tallies were best among all Austin College players this season, and her four assists ranked her second on the team.
