Lane Named SCAC Defensive Player of the Week

SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College women's soccer player Kenedie Lane has been named the SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played through Monday, September 2, the league office has announced.

Lane, a senior goalkeeper from Frisco, got her senior season off to an outstanding start, playing all 180 minutes for Austin College as the 'Roos went to California and came home with a 1-0-1 record with a victory over Willamette and a draw against Wisconsin-Stout. Lane had two clean sheets over the weekend, making 11 total saves, including eight in the team's 1-0 victory over Willamette. Her 11 saves, 1.000 save percentage and 0.00 goals against-average through the opening weekend are all tops in the SCAC.
