Women's Soccer Battles to Scoreless Draw

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Austin College women's soccer team held a 16-to-8 shot advantage over Wisconsin-Stout in a neutral site game at the University of Redlands, but the 'Roos were unable to find the back of the net and settled for a 0-0 draw on Saturday to wrap up their weekend trip to California.

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Austin College women's soccer team held a 16-to-8 shot advantage over Wisconsin-Stout in a neutral site game at the University of Redlands, but the 'Roos were unable to find the back of the net and settled for a 0-0 draw on Saturday to wrap up their weekend trip to California.

Kenedie Lane earned her second clean sheet of the weekend in goal for the 'Roos, making three saves, and Austin College outshot their opponent 7-to-3 in the first half and 9-to-5 in the second. However, only four of those shot attempts went on target, and neither team was able to break through to get on the scoreboard. Samantha Reynolds led the 'Roos with three shot attempts, and Jetta Broquard and Rylie Balderas each had two attempts, including one shot on goal apiece. 

Austin College returns to Sherman for the team's first home match of the season on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., as the 'Roos play host to Arlington Baptist.
