Tigers Top 'Roos in SCAC Competition

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Austin College women's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision on the road at Trinity University on Friday, as the Tigers scored twice before halftime and three times after the break. The 'Roos are now 0-11-1 overall and 0-9 in SCAC play with the loss.

Trinity got on the board in the fourth minute of action when Michaela Bosco found the back of the net, and the Tigers added another tally at the 16:07 mark on a score by Mary Sheridan to make it 2-0. That's how things would stay heading into halftime, as Trinity fired off 24 shots in the first 45 minutes of action with no attempts for the 'Roos, but Kenedie Lane managed to make six first half saves.

Lane made 10 stops in the second half as Trinity out-shot the 'Roos 23-1 after the break to finish with a 47-1 advantage in the match, but the Tigers were able to put three in the net to make it a 5-0 final. Sheridan scored in the 49th minute, and Hanna Khan scored in the 57th and 62nd minutes to round out the scoring. Lane finished with 16 saves for Austin College.
