Women's Soccer Falls at St. Thomas

HOUSTON, Texas - The Austin College women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision on the road at St. Thomas on Sunday, bringing the 'Roos to 0-10-1 overall and 0-8 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on the year.

St. Thomas scored twice in under a minute midway through the opening half and never looked back, as Karson Funderburk tallied at both the 19:29 and 20:16 marks to send the Celts into halftime leading 2-0. The 'Roos were held without a shot in the opening half, while St. Thomas had eight attempts.

Austin College was able to get five shot attempts after the break but unable to find the back of the net, and St. Thomas picked up one more insurance goal in the 76th minute to make it 3-0. The 'Roos got nine saves in the game from Kenedie Lane, while St. Thomas keeper Sophia Escontrias made four stops for the Celts.
