Austin College Falls to Dallas

IRVING, Texas - The Austin College women's soccer team fell 2-0 in a road match at the University of Dallas on Sunday, bringing the 'Roos to 0-4-1 overall and 0-2 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on the year.

The Crusaders scored once in each half, with Nevaeh Coronado tallying what would prove to be the game-winner in the 11th minute of action. The 'Roos had four shot attempts in the opening half and five overall, but were only able to put two on target in the match while Dallas put nine of their 16 attempts on frame. The score remained 1-0 through halftime, and the Crusaders got their second goal in the 69th minute from Britney Zapata.

Kenedie Lane made seven saves for Austin College, while Priscilla Garcia gave the 'Roos multipe offensive chances and had four shot attempts. Brittany Hutton and Sarah Davis each managed to get a shot on goal, but UD's Briana Salinas stopped both efforts.
