LONGVIEW, Texas - The Austin College women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 road match at LeTourneau University on Saturday evening, bringing the 'Roos to 0-2 to open the 2022 campaign.

LeTourneau got both of its goals early on and the 'Roos were unable to recover, as the Jackets scored in the 7th minute of action off the foot of Terra Tucker to get on the scoreboard first. LeTourneau added its second goal 15 minutes later, when Gaby Sanchez tallied to make it a 2-0 game. That's how things would stand heading into halftime, and neither team was able to get on the board in the final 45 minutes.

LeTourneau held an 18-to-3 shot advantage in the match, with 13 of those attempts coming in the opening half. Heaven Barber made six saves for Austin College in the loss. The 'Roos will be looking to bounce back on Tuesday night, when they play host to Howard Payne at 6:00 p.m. at the Pierce Soccer Complex.
