Women's Soccer Topped by Dallas

IRVING, Texas - The Austin College women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at the University of Dallas on Friday, as the Crusaders tallied twice in the second half to hand the 'Roos the defeat. Austin College is now 1-8 overall on the year.

The Crusaders went on the attack early and kept the 'Roos from getting any scoring chances throughout the opening half, but Austin College was able to keep Dallas off the board thanks to a strong defensive effort anchored by Kenedie Lane in goal. The Crusaders out-shot the 'Roos 12-0 in the first 45 minutes, but the score was 0-0 heading into the break.

That remained the score until the 71st minute, when Avery Seaman got the Crusaders on the board with a tally to make it 1-0. The strong defense by Austin College continued but Dallas was able to tack on another goal, with Seaman again finding the net in the 88th minute on a feed from Maddie Rodriguez to make it a 2-0 final. Dallas held a 25-2 shot advantage in the match, with Lane making 16 saves for Austin College.
