'Roo Women's Soccer Falls to Ozarks

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The Austin College women's soccer team took a 1-1 tie into halftime against the University of the Ozarks on Friday, but the Eagles tallied twice after halftime to hand the 'Roos a 3-1 defeat. The 'Roos are now 1-3 overall this season.

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The Austin College women's soccer team took a 1-1 tie into halftime against the University of the Ozarks on Friday, but the Eagles tallied twice after halftime to hand the 'Roos a 3-1 defeat. The 'Roos are now 1-3 overall this season.

Chloe Towler got Austin College on the board in the first half as the 'Roos battled the Eagles to a 1-1 game after 45 minutes, with Breezie Davis scoring for Ozarks in the opening frame. In the second half, Davis tallied again, and Brooke Winningham also added a goal to put the game away for Ozarks. Overall, the Eagles held a 17-3 advantage in shots in the match.

Austin College will be back in action on Sunday when they take on Hendrix College at noon in Clarksville.
