Women's Soccer Edged by Celts

HOUSTON, Texas - The Austin College women's soccer team saw the regular season come to a close on Saturday at the University of St. Thomas, with the 'Roos being edged 2-1 by the Celts. The 'Roos are now 1-5-1 on the year.

The game was scoreless through the first 25 minutes before St. Thomas got on the board, with Riley Keck putting one in the back of the net to make it a 1-0 game at the 25:24 mark. The 'Roos would come back strong, with Hallie Dickerson tallying for the second time this season just under eight minutes later to square things at 1-1 heading into halftime.

The Celts would get the go-ahead goal in the 55th minute of action off the foot of Desiree Lewis, and that tally would prove to be the game-winner for UST as the match would end at 2-1. St. Thomas held an 18-to-7 shot advantage in the match, including 9-to-4 in shots on goal. Meredith Harris made seven saves for Austin College in the loss.
