Centenary Tops 'Roo Women in Home Finale

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College women’s soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to Centenary in its home finale on Sunday afternoon, bringing the team’s overall record to 3-12-1 and Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference mark to 0-5.

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to Centenary in its home finale on Sunday afternoon, bringing the team's overall record to 3-12-1 and Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference mark to 0-5.

The game was a defensive battle through the first 37 minutes of action, but Centenary tallied twice in a 90-second stretch to quickly make it a 2-0 game heading into the half. That remained the score for the first 20 minutes after halftime, when Centenary's Migui Boldrin sent in a free kick for her second score of the game to make it 3-0 in the 58th minute. The Ladies would add one more in the 65th minute of action with Kyra Montes finding the net to make it a 4-0 final.

Centenary controlled possession for much of the game and held a 27-to-3 advantage in shots, including 17-to-1 in the first half. Meredith Harris made 13 saves in goal for Austin College.
