'Roos Drop Road Match at Dallas

IRVING, Texas - The Austin College women's soccer team fell behind early and were never able to counter against the University of Dallas, falling 2-0 to the Crusaders on Friday evening. The 'Roos are now 2-9-1 overall and 0-3 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

The Crusaders found the back of the net just over seven minutes into the game and limited Austin College to just three shots in the match, but the 'Roos managed to hang in thanks to a strong defensive effort that kept it a 1-0 game at halftime. That remained the score until the 71st minute of action when Dallas tallied for the second time to double the margin and essentially seal the game.

Dallas held a 17-to-3 shot advantage in the game, putting eight shots on goal compared to two shots on goal for the 'Roos. Maya Erwin made six saves for Austin College in the loss.
