KERRVILLE, Texas - The Austin College women's soccer team lost a heartbreaker to end the season, falling 1-0 in double overtime against Texas Lutheran in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference quarterfinals.

KERRVILLE, Texas - The Austin College women's soccer team lost a heartbreaker to end the season, falling 1-0 in double overtime against Texas Lutheran in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference quarterfinals. The 'Roos finish the year with a record of 3-13-2.
The two sides played evenly throughout the match, with Austin College owning a 5-4 shot advantage in the first half but unable to break through before Texas Lutheran out-shot the 'Roos 8-4 after halftime. However, both sides stepped up defensively, turning away several shot opportunities, while TLU saw a penalty kick effort miss to keep things scoreless and send the match into overtime.
Neither team was able to muster much offense in the first overtime, but TLU's Bailey Nimtz gave the Bulldogs the win with a tally in the 105th minute of action.
