Austin College Drops Final Regular Season Match at Centenary

The Austin College women's soccer team fell 3-1 in its final regular season match of the season in Shreveport on Saturday night. The 'Roos now head into the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament as the No. 6-seed.

Centenary scored all three of its goals in the first half to take a 3-0 halftime head, and Austin College was unable to overcome that deficit. The Ladies scored in the 16th minute to take a 1-0 lead, and added two goals in under a minute at the 31:21 mark and the 32:09 mark to make it a three goal advantage.

Austin College got on the board late when Kristi Stevens chipped the ball over the Centenary keeper in the 86th minute to make it a 3-1 final. The 'Roos held a 15-10 shot advantage in the match, and Laura McGee made a pair of saves.

The 'Roos head to Kerrville next weekend for the SCAC Tournament, where they'll take on No. 3-seed Texas Lutheran on Friday.
